Thresh, The Chain Warden


Thresh is a support champion who has some of the best utilities at his position.  He has a built-in ward, a shield, a pull for teammates, a pull for enemies, area of effect slow and a knockback.  

Because Thresh is mana hungry early game, bait his hooks and dodge them and when he is out of mana, you can try to engage the carry he is supporting.  If you he gets out of position early game remember he is squishy and you can burst him down if his carry is out of reach(a carry should almost always be the first target).  Run cleanse on an AD carry that will be facing him in lane for emergencies to get out of his crowd control.  When he is collecting souls during the game, you can get free harass onto him, so make him pay for building up his passive.

- His passive Damnation allows him to be really tanky with just a few tank items


- His Death Sentence (Q) is a grab that can secure kills, initiate team fights, or save teammates.


- His lantern, Dark Passage, is an incredible escape tool or offensive tool, as well and provides vision and a sheild for teammates


- His utility in team fights is so strong, and the later a game goes, the stronger his damage gets.  

- He has mana problems in the early game especially, so you cannot spam abilities but must use when you know you will land them


- Because his passive, is very squishy early game, and must be careful until he collects enough souls  or buys some defensive items.

Thresh can harvest the souls of enemies that die near him, permanently granting him armor and ability power.

Death Sentence 


Passive: Deals magic damage equal to total souls collected plus up to 80/110/140/170/200% of attack damage, based on the amount of time since his last attack.

Active:  Throws out his scythe, dealing 80/110/140/170/200 (+0.5) magic damage to the first unit hit and pulling them toward him for 1.5 seconds. 

Reactivate this ability to pull Thresh to the bound enemy.

Dark Passage 


Creates a shielding lantern that an ally can use to dash to you. Throw the Lantern to a point. If an ally near the Lantern clicks it, they pick it up and Thresh pulls both back to him.

Additionally, allies who come near it gain a shield lasting 4 seconds that absorbs up to 60/90/120/150/180 (+0.4) damage. Allies can only receive the shield once per cast.

Knock nearby enemies in the direction of your choice, dealing 65/105/145/185/225 (+0.4) magic damage in a line beginning behind him. Enemies hit are pushed in the direction of the swing, then slowed by 20/25/30/35/40% for 1.5 seconds.

Cast forward to push; cast backward to pull.

The Box 


Creates a prison of spectral walls around himself. Enemy Champions who walk through a wall suffer 250/400/550 (+1) magic damage and are slowed by 99% for 2 seconds, but break that wall. 

Once one wall is broken, remaining walls deal half damage and apply half slow duration. An enemy cannot be affected by multiple walls.
